What is a Passport Card?
The United States Department of State has U.S. Passport Cards that are available for $45.00 for first time applicants rather than having to purchase a U.S. Passport Book for $100.00.  A U.S. Passport Card is valid when entering the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda at land border crossings and sea ports-of-entry. The card provides a less expensive, smaller, and more convenient alternative to the passport book for those who travel frequently to these destinations by land or by sea. Please note: Is it NOT valid for international travel by AIR.
