Part A - Prior to Departure R & J Tour’s Cancellation Protection: Many of our guests have found R & J Tour’s Cancellation Protection to be a cost effective way to obtain reimbursement of their travel investment in the event of a need to cancel before leaving.
Most people spend time before their trip imagining all the things they will do and see on the road and don’t think about all the common reasons that their trip could be cancelled before they even leave. R & J Tour’s Cancellation Protection will cover your trip investment if you have to cancel for any reason including severe weather, family illness, medical emergencies and other unexpected events.
Should you have to cancel your R & J Tour before departure, you’ll be glad you invested in R & J Tour’s Cancellation Protection. Upon purchase, it protects the full value of your travel investment. With our Tour Cancellation Protection, you will be guaranteed a full refund of all payments, excluding the protection premium, should you need to cancel your tour for any reason prior to departure.
Exclusions: 1) R & J Tours reserves the right to modify it’s refund and cancellation policy when a sizeable amount of cancellation or delay of travel that is related to or arising out of: acts of God, weather, government actions, mechanical breakdowns, acts of terrorism and war. In any one of these circumstances, R & J will credit your tour monies into your Travel Bucks account to be used within one year.
2) The Travel Protection Plan does not cover any single supplement charges which would occur when an individual’s traveling companion needs to cancel and the individual is unable to find another roommate.
Part B - While on Tour R & J’s “OnTour” Insurance, provided by Travel Guard: Unexpected travel events also occur on the road. The same things that can force you to cancel your trip can force you to interrupt it before it’s over. R & J’s “OnTour” Insurance provides valuable coverage for medical emergencies, personal possessions, travel delays, and even medical evacuation while traveling. While you can’t do anything to prevent an unexpected storm from interrupting your tour, you can do something to help cover your losses. With travel insurance through Travel Guard, you’ll have valuable coverage that travels with you and your family. Plus, the plan includes our 24-hour “911” travel emergency service for emergency medical assistance, lost luggage tracking, and more.

Notice to New York residents: Residents of the State of New York may purchase the R & J Tour’s Cancellation Protection or the insurance coverage & services independent of each other. Insurance is underwritten by National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, PA, with its principal place of business in New, York, NY. Coverage may not be available in all states.
$500 - Travel Delay Pays up to $100 a day for reasonable additional expenses if delayed for 12 hours, and due to: • Carrier delay such as mechanical difficulties or weather. • Lost passport, money, or travel documents. • Natural disaster. • Injury or sickness of you or Traveling Companion.
$1,000 - Baggage & Personal Effects • Coverage for loss, theft, or damage of baggage and personal effects. • Primary coverage — no need to present a claim to another carrier such as Homeowner’s. • Covers loss due to unauthorized use of credit cards if you have complied with credit card conditions. • Pays for administrative fees to reissue lost or stolen tickets. • Coverage for cameras, musical instruments, breakage of brittle or fragile articles, golf and scuba equipment.
$50 - Baggage Delay • Reimburses for the purchase of essential items if your bags are delayed or misdirected for more than 24 hours, up to the Maximum Limit.
$10,000 - Medical Expense • No daily limits or deductibles. • Pays for Physician, hospital, ambulance services, and prosthetic devices. Initial treatment must be received during trip. We will pay for covered expenses for up to one year from date of injury/sickness. • Pays for emergency dental expenses while on your trip.
$20,000 - Emergency Medical Transportation • Evacuation to nearest adequate medical facility. • Up to $5,000 for medical escort. • Transportation of remains upon death.
$10,000 - Accidental Death & Dismemberment • Covers death and loss of limb or eyesight within 180 days of an accident. Travel Guard® Assistance (Non-insurance service benefit) • Advancement of funds to cover on-site medical expenses. • Telephone interpretation services in major languages. • Replacement of lost passport and other incidentals as may be required. • Assistance to locate local physicians, dentists, or medical facilities. • Professionals will monitor your condition and contact your personal physician. • Evacuation to a hospital, treatment facility or back home. • 24-hour emergency hotline.
NOTE: The below Pre-Existing Medical Condition Exclusion will be waived if Travel Protection premium is purchased within 24 hours of initial trip payment. This is applicable to all coverages contained in the policy. You must be medically able to travel when you pay your premium. In the event that a claim is filed, the injury or illness must be substantiated to our Claims Department. Termination Date: All coverage ends on the earlier of: (a) the date the trip is completed; (b) the scheduled trip completion date; (c) the Insured’s arrival at the return destination on a round trip, or the destination on a one-way trip; or (d) cancellation of the trip covered by the policy. The Effective Date is the date the premium is paid. This is a brief description of the coverage limitations, exclusions, and termination provisions.
Pre-existing Medical Condition Exclusion (Applicable to All Coverages) We will not pay for loss or expense incurred as the result of injury or sickness of an Insured or Immediate Family Member which manifests itself during the 60 days immediately preceding and including the Effective Date, unless the condition is controlled through the taking of prescription drugs or medication and remains controlled throughout the 60 day period. A sickness has manifested itself when, medical care, treatment, or diagnosis has been given. * If protection premium is paid at time of deposit, this exclusion is waived.
