Day 1 - Home to Rockford
We’ll travel to our first overnight stay in Rockford, Illinois.  We’ll stop for a delightful lunch at the Norske Nook, a Scandinavian Restaurant, with time to spend in some quaint Scandinavian shops.  Enjoy fall colors as we drive through the winding roads of Wisconsin.

Day 2 - Rockford to Detroit
Enjoy the passing landscapes as we make our way eastward to Detroit, with a coffee break in downtown Chicago and a noon lunch stop along the way.  Our destination for the night will be Detroit, where we’ll check into our hotel for the evening.

Day 3 - Detroit to Niagara Falls
The Ford museum in Dearborn, Michigan, is on the agenda before making our way to Niagara Falls.  We will spend some time at the falls in the evening.

Day 4 - Niagara Falls
We will enjoy a morning drive along the Niagara River, where we’ll view beautiful homes and flowers, a gorgeous floral clock, and Niagara Gorge.  Enjoy lunch on your own in the beautiful little village of Niagara on the Lake.  Take time to shop and browse in the quaint little shops in the area.  Later we will ride on the “Maid of the Mist,”  which takes us to the base of the waterfalls.  In the evening we will experience an elegant dinner atop the Skylo n Tower, with a breathtaking panoramic view of Niagara Falls and the surrounding area.

Day 5 - Niagara Falls to Saranac Lake
As we’ll leave the splendor of the falls behind us, we will experience the beautiful countryside of New York State with winding roads and mountain splendor.  Experience one of the trip’s most beautiful drives as we make our way to Saranac Lake.  Dinner will be included at a local favorite restaurant.

Day 6 - Saranac Lake
Enjoy a tour of Lake Placid where the 1980 Winter Olympics took place.  From the giant ski jumps to the Ice Hockey Arenas, America made history with a Hockey Gold Medal!  Take some time to sightsee and browse in the shops in this picturesque mountain resort town nestled in the Adirondack Mountains.

Day 7 - Saranac Lake to Lincoln
We’ll leave Saranac Lake and take a scenic ferry ride across Lake Champlain to Burlington, Vermont, where we’ll enjoy a breathtaking view of the Adirondack and Green mountains in all their autumn glory.  Visit Montpelier, the capital of Vermont, with a stop at the unique Capital Building.  A spectacular drive takes us to Franconia Notch State Park in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.   We’ll travel on the famous Kancamagus Highway, a scenic highway that winds through the White Mountains.  Stop in the bustling town of North Conway, home of many factory outlet stores.  We have carefully chosen Lincoln as our overnight stay.  Enjoy a tram ride up the mountain side offering spectacular views.  Stay at a beautiful resort nestled in the mountains.

Day 8 - Lincoln to Wells
Travel to North Conway with opportunity to browse in the charming historic village.  Later we’ll check into a resort hotel beautifully set in the historic village of Wells, Maine.

Day 9 - Wells

We’ll explore Kennebunkport with a picture stop at the Wedding Cake House.  We’ll have some time to browse around this beautiful seaside village before making a stop at Walker Point for a view of former President George Bush’s summer home.  We’ll also take some time to explore Portland, with a stop at the famous Portland Head Lighthouse, a perfect opportunity for some picture taking.  Prepare for a mouth-watering traditional lobster dinner.

Day 10 - Wells to Plymouth
Boston awaits as we’ll motor south for a highlighted tour including the old North Church, which signaled the beginning of the Revolutionary War.  We’ll see the famous USS Constitution “Old Ironside,” and many other interesting sights Boston has to offer.  Enjoy a lunch stop at Quincy Market with many charming cafes and shops.  This evening is spent in Plymouth.

Day 11 - Plymouth to Mystic Seaport
We will see Plymouth Rock, and a replica of the “The Mayflower.”  Following an included lunch at the famous historic LaForge Restaurant, we’ll tour the old seaport town of Newport, Rhode Island, with many beautiful mansions, including the church where John and Jackie Kennedy were married!  We’ll travel the famous 10 Mile Drive which features many exquisite estates.  See Newport’s famed harbor and Bowen’s Wharf.  You’ll soon learn why Newport is considered America’s yachting capital.  Our hotel is nestled in the charming village of Mystic Seaport, steps from cafes, shops, and more.

Day 12 - Mystic Seaport to New York City
We’ll leave Mystic behind, and travel across beautiful Connecticut to New York City.  We’ll check into the lovely Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers, steps from Times Square, Broadway, charming cafes, shops, and more.  After lunch we’ll welcome a local step-on guide to show us the best sights and sounds of the Big Apple, New York City!  See Times Square, Wall Street, the Garment District, Broadway, Empire State Building, Greenwich Village, the Lincoln Center, Ground Zero, and many other points of interest.  Freshen up and have dinner on your own at one of the many nearby restaurants.  Then we’ll attend one of Broadway’s top shows!

Day 13 - New York City
A colorful ferry boat will take us to the famous Statue of Liberty, symbolizing American freedom to all.  Visit Ellis Island and discover, by exhibits, the 12 million people who came here looking for a better life.  View the film “Island of Hope, Island of Tears,” before visiting the Great Hall.  Then you’ll be special guests aboard the outstanding World Yacht for a dinner cruise.  Enjoy sweeping views of the illuminated New York City Skyline, the Statue of Liberty, and more.

Day 14 - New York City to Youngstown
We’ll travel through the beautiful countryside of Pennsylvania, painted perfectly in fall colors!  We’ll settle in Youngstown for a relaxing evening.

Day 15 - Youngstown to Chicago
We’ll enjoy the company of our fellow travelers as we travel to Chicago, where we’ll spend the night.

Day 16 - Chicago to Home
Traveling homeward, take opportunities to recall the pleasant memories of fall in New England and enjoy the friends we’ve made on this fantastic trip!
